KOSS Global - 4Th Global Meet – In brief

The 4th Global meet of the Kudassanad Overseas Sauhruda Sangham (KOSS-Global) was successfully held on 19 and 20th January 2013 in a grand manner at Kudassanad.
- Dr. John Panackel, B.S Varrior, Col.R.G Nair took classes for the WINGS, a full day student empowerment programme that conducted on Saturday, 19-Janury 2013.
- Sri K C Joseph, honourable minister for non-resident affairs of the government of the Kerala inaugurated the public meeting by lighting the lamp on Sunday, the 20 January. Sri P.C .George MLA, Government chief whip at the legislative assembly was chief guest.
- Sri R Rajesh, MLA of Mavelikara, Sri K K Shaju who is the Chairman of the Kerala Handloom Industries Development Board and Ex-MLA, Presidents of both Palamel and Pandalam Panchayaths, members of the Panchayathu representing the local areas were also spoke on the occasion.
- Cash awards were given away to the winners of the inter school students competition.
- Dr. Rajan George Ramanatt, Moncy Elakkottu, Appukkuttan were honoured and awarded with the titles ‘Vidya Thilakam’, ‘Sahitay Ratnam’ and ‘Karma Jyothi’ respectively on the occasion.
- Special Awards were delivered to the following dignitaries for their exemplary services for the society in various fields and honoured them on the occasion.

- 37 retired teachers who are above 65 years were also honoured and accepted the awards. The certificates were issued to all students who participated in the WINGS empowerment programme.
There musical orchestra lead by Miss. Anju Jospeh, the Idea Star Singer fame enthralled the gathering and the meeting concluded.
