1.WINGS: As intimated earlier, all arrangements for WINGS are over. Students started collecting their training kits from KOSS Office. The last date to collect the students kit is 31st of December 2012.
2.GLOBAL MEET:
2.1KOSS General Body: All KOSS members who are on leave at that time and present at Kudassanad are requested to be present in the General Body along with their family members. No matter if you have registered yourself in the KOSS Trust with the membership fee, you and your immediate family members are members of KOSS Global if you are working abroad. The General Body will meet at 12 noon at St.Stephen’s Cathedral Auditorium. It will be followed by a love feast (Sneha Virunnu) at 1.30 pm. KLC Members and their family will also join us for this. It is your privileged gathering and do not miss it.
2.2Reception Procession: The chief guest Shri. P. C. George, the Chief Whip of the Kerala State Legislative Assembly, MLAs Shri. Thomas Chandy, Shri. K.Rajesh and Shri. Chittayam Gopakumar. Ex Minister Shri. Pandalam Sudhakaran, Ex. MLA Shri K.K. Shaju, Pravasi Welfare Board member Shri. Varughese Puthukkulangara, Palamel and Pandalam Panchat Presidents, Panchayath members of our locality, The award and memento winners, 34 Teachers who are being honoured and other distinguished guests will be received from the Poopanthal erected at the Keeppallil-Kottor padi and led to the Auditorium at 2.30 pm. Band Troupe of Kaipattoor St. George Mount High School, Chendamelam and Muthukkuda will add colour to the procession. Minsters Shri. K.C. Joseph and Shri. Kodikkunnel Suresh will join the meet later.
2.3Public Meeting: It will begin at 3 pm. The following prestigious KOSS awards will be presented on this occasion:

KOSS GLOBAL MEET & WINGS 2013 NEWS BULLETIN – 5
I am very much thrilled to release this fifth news bulletin regarding our WINGS program and Global Meet:
1.Training Kit & ID Cards of WINGS Participants: Parents of WINGS participants started collecting their student’s training kit and ID Cards. They are requested to collect these documents on or before 31st of December 2012 from our KOSS Office. We sent letters to all of them intimating the same to their postal address.
2.Agenda of Global Meet: Our General Secretary Mr. Chacko Georgekutty, Kottoor will release the Global Meet agenda soon. All KOSS members on leave along with their family will assemble at the Auditorium by 1200 noon on Sunday, the 20th of January 2013 to participate in the KOSS General Body Meeting followed by Lunch. This is expected to be over by 2pm. The procession in connection with the reception of VIPs, Teachers, Award Winners and other dignitaries will commence at 2 pm from Keeppallil – Kottoor Junction and proceed to the St. Stephen’s Auditorium. Chendamelam, Band set, Muthukkuda and Flags of WINGs and KOSS will colour this procession. The Public Meeting will start by 2.30 and will be over by 5.30. This will be followed by a tea party to all. There will be a one hour entertainment program from 6 to 7 pm.
3.Flag Staff and KOSS Flag: A steel Kodimaram is set in front of the KOSS Office now with the KOSS Flag (White silk with blue emblem). This will be used for WINGS and Global Meet appropriately.
4.35 WINGS flags & 12 KOSS Flags: They are all ready to use in the procession by WINGS Participants and KOSS Chapter Representatives.
5.3 Arches: Shaji Keeppallil has already agreed to erect three arches in connection with the event very shortly; one at CROSS Junction, the second at the Gate of St. Thomas L.P. School and the third in front of St. Stephen’s Auditorium. A poopanthal will also be there at the Keeppallil – Kottoor junction, the first guest reception point.
6.Sponsors: As intimated earlier WINGS is sponsored by M/S Keeppallil Brothers. We have a number of Sponsors for the Global Meet.

8.Awards & Appreciations: In every Global Meet we present three awards to eminent personalities in our locality. They are The ‘Vidhya Thilokam, Sahithya Ratnam and Karma Jyothi’ Awards. An announcement in this respect in consultation with the Board of Directors of KOSS will reach the readers of this forum shortly. In addition to the awards, we will honour 5 eminent people in our locality who have contributed substantially to the Society. Their names will also be advised by the Govering Body of KOSS along with the above.
9.Fund for the event: We have very encouraging offers of fund from different chapters of KOSS and individuals stationed abroad. While soliciting more offers, we request all those who have made the offer of donation to pay the same by 31st of December 2012 to the KOSS Office or transfer it to the KOSS Account at CSB as advised earlier.

WINGS & KOSS GLOBAL MEET
NEWS BULLETIN – 4
I am pleased to release this news bulletin 4 on behalf of the Governing Body of KOSS and the WINGS directorate.
WINGS
1.All arrangements for WINGS are made. Trainers and Counsellors reconfirmed their participation. St. Thomas LP School Kudassanad is being set ready for 35 students, their parents and KOSS Global and KLC Members to participate in WINGS, the first of its kind in Kerala. I am sure it will be a thrilling experience to all
2.Keeppallil Brothers (Thankachan John, Thampan John, John Mathew – Jose, and Johnson – Rarichen) together sponsor the WINGS – January 2013 program in memory of their belove mother Late Annamma John. Her death anniversary falls on 1st of January. Thanks to them for the strong support they always extend to KOSS activities
3.The deadline for WINGS registration was 30th November 2012. So far 35 students got enrolled. We will not entertain any more registrations. Registrations commence for the VIII th Standard students for the Second Phase of WINGS scheduled in August 2013 from the month of April 2013 with a deadline of 31st May 2013. Even then, we have only limited seats to offer.
4.If anyone wants to sponsor the second phase of WINGS (WINGS August 2013) in memory of your beloved departed ones or as a well wisher, you are most welcome. The sponsorship fee is Rs. 50,000. You may contact the undersigned for details via email;
KOSS Global Meet
1.Minister Shri. K. C. Joseph has confirmed his presence in the Global Meet. Ministers Shri. Adoor Prakash and Kodikkunnel Suresh will try to make it convenient to attend the function
2.St. Stephen’s Auditorium is the venue for the Meet. There will be a KOSS Lunch for all the members of KOSS along with their families and KLC Members at 1200 noon on Meet day (Sunday, 20th January 2013) in the auditorium on contributory basis followed by a general body meeting of KOSS.Those who are on leave at that time may kindly note this
3.The Global meet will commence at 2 pm on that day with a procession in reception to the VIPS. It will be from Kavinalpadi to the Auditorium. A poopanthal will be set ready at Kavinalpadi and the procession will have Band set, Chendamelam, Muthukkuda and other items. All WINGS students and Parents, retired teachers whom we are honouring will be received along with VIPS.
4.The public meeting will commence at 2.30 pm. The prestigious KOSS awards will be presented to prominent personalities of our place on that occasion. Retired teachers above 65 years of age will be honoured with Ponnada (Guru Vandanam). Students who won the 1st , 2nd and 3rd prizes for the interschool competitions in November 2012 will receive their prizes. All WINGS students will receive their certificates of participation at that time
5.KLC will prepare a list of deserving patients for charity amount. This, along with other future charity programs will be announced in the meeting
6.The Sauhrudam Magazine will also be released on this occasion. Deep John Kollamparampil is the Chief Editor assisted by a few others. If you have any advertisement, you may forward the matter to him or to our General Secretary, Mr. Chacko George Kottoor.
7.The program will end with snacks to all participants
The response to our appeal to donate for this function is extremely encouraging. Those who have offered donations may now make arrangements to remit the sum before 1st January 2013.

I am happy to release the News Bulletin 3 in the capacity of WINGS Director and on behalf of the KOSS Governing Body;
1. Fund collection: It is in progress. We are getting very good response from our members
2. Guru Vandanam: The list of retired teachers in our area who are above 70 years of age is ready. The list of those who are above 65 is being prepared. If we take all the retired teachers, there are more than 100. The spirit of honour gets aborted if there is huge number. Therefore, it is recommended to honour the retired teachers in different phases. This is why the list is taken in phases.
3. KOSS is in process of developing an official flag and flag staff for occasional use. We need suggestions from you for its colour and style
